WHY THIS ARENA MATTERS

Our current arena is over 20 years old, and while it has served us well, we have outgrown it. The size and footing limits us in how consistently and safely we operate. A purpose-built arena will allow us to run programs more reliably, improve safety for horses and riders, and create a space that meets the needs of our growing ministry.

This new arena will allow us to:

  • Provide safer footing and clearer boundaries for horses and riders
  • Improve visibility and communication during lessons and events
  • Operate more consistently across seasons and changing light conditions
  • Create a professional, well-organized environment for participants and volunteers

This project is about building a space that supports quality, safety, and long-term sustainability.

Designed With Safety, Function, and Experience in Mind

The proposed arena has been carefully planned to support safe riding, efficient movement, and clear communication during lessons and events.

Arena features include:

  • A full-size 100' x 200' riding surface with smooth, rounded corners to promote safer movement and better flow for horses.

  • A fully welded pipe fence system that clearly defines the riding space and enhances safety for horses, riders, and spectators.

  • Multiple gated entry points to allow safe, controlled access during lessons, events, and daily use.

  • A sound system that allows instructors and announcers to communicate clearly, improving safety, instruction, and event coordination.

  • Energy-efficient lighting that allows riding and instruction in low-light conditions, increasing usable hours and flexibility.

  • A designated space for instruction, announcements, and event coordination, helping programs run smoothly and professionally.

  • Built-in drainage to protect the riding surface and help maintain safe footing after rain.

  • High-quality footing designed to reduce strain, improve traction, and support the long-term health of horses.

  • A durable gravel walkway that improves accessibility, keeps traffic organized, and reduces mud and wear around the arena.
