Summer camp is a lot of fun, but what most people don’t realize is it is also a lot of work to organize and prepare! This weekend is named after Nehemiah in the Bible who accomplished a big task in a very short amount of time and with not much help. How did he do it? Well, the Bible makes it clear that so much could be accomplished with so few people in such a short amount of time because “the people had a mind to work” (Nehemiah 4:6). Our goal for this weekend is to provide people with an opportunity to get involved in the serving end of God’s Adventure Camp.

We will spend the weekend getting the cabins and grounds ready for summer use! This can be a fun opportunity for entire families to jump in and serve together. There is no obligation to stay the whole time. Any help provided is appreciated. Bringing cleaning supplies, yard tools, and painting clothes are all great for this retreat, but the most important things to bring are willing spirits and “a mind to work.”
